PROJECTS

Give to a Specific Project

CATESOL Education Foundation has many projects. Your donation can help strengthen a project that matches your passion.  Consider the projects described below.  When donating, let us know the project that excites you the most.

Leadership Grants

California State University Fullerton Master's candidates participate in CATESOL activities and become better prepared for the world of TESOL while they are still in graduate school. Grantees receive a two-year membership to CATESOL and have their registration fees paid for regional, chapter, and annual conferences while being mentored by their university instructors. They are also encouraged to volunteer at CATESOL events and to present. This project was modeled after the Tippy Schwabe Grant and is being funded through private donations.

Regional Stipends

Part of our mission is to provide education opportunities to teachers of English learners.  Our foundation offers small stipends to help cover CATESOL regional conference registration and mileage. Prospective CATESOL members who would like to apply for a Regional Stipend must be part-time teachers of English learners or students attending school to become TESOL professionals.

Angel

Our Angel fund was started in lean years when the CATESOL (California/Nevada Teachers of Speakers of Other Languages) organization needed financial assistance to survive.

Mentoring

By matching up ELL/ESL full-time professionals with aspiring teachers and administrators, this program reaches out to the next generation of colleagues to assist with resume review, advice, and training to encourage job promotion.
